BEC uses your location to find the nearest bacon, egg & cheese, pizza, and bagel. That's it. No account, no tracking, no data sold.
BEC requests access to your location while the app is in use. Your coordinates are sent to our server solely to look up nearby places and calculate walking directions. We do not store your location, log it, or associate it with any identifier.
Location access is optional. If you deny or revoke permission, you can still use the app by entering an address or landmark manually. To re-enable GPS later, go to iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → BEC.
Place search and walking directions are powered by Google APIs, accessed through a server-side proxy. Your location is passed to Google solely to fulfill these requests. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
When you tap the map to navigate, you are handed off to Apple Maps or Google Maps. Their respective privacy policies apply at that point.
The optional "Buy me a coffee" tip is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment information. Apple's privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy.
If you use the in-app feedback option, the message you type is sent to and stored on our servers. No name, email address, or device identifier is attached to it. We use this only to read and respond to feedback about the app.
BEC is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from them.
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date below. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
